Hm.. nothing much has happened this week. The term ends on the 5th of November, so I don't have much longer to make sure my grades are all where they should be. I have a B+ in world history.. that has to go up. And I hope I'm doing well in biology.. I'm not worried about anything else really. I'd definitely like to make the high honor roll this term - watch me end up with just one B+ to knock me off. -__- Based on past experience..
And the homecoming dance is tomorrow night! Unfortunately, I can't go. See, the neighbors asked me to babysit on Monday, so I told the mother that there was a dance and I wanted to find out more information. (I know her well, so she understands. ^^) So, the next day I went to school and asked my friends if they were going. Diantha didn't want to, Zahra had a family commitment, Lauren was babysitting.. so it went on in that fashion. I was a little disappointed that I wouldn't be going, but I didn't want to go and just stand there obviously, so I called the neighbor up and told her I could babysit.
So the next day I go into school and Zahra asked me if I was still going. "No.." I said. It turns out that she managed to get out of the family business, so she was going. Later on, Lauren asked me the same thing. She cancelled her babysitting plans since she thought the rest of us were going. I can't cancel my babysitting plans.. those kids adore me, and they were really excited that I was going to babysit them that night. Not to mention it would be indecent of me and my parents wouldn't allow it anyway. So.. once again, Yumi loses out. I wanted to go to the dance so badly.. ;__; And since there won't be tickets sold at the door, I can't even go later if the parents get home early enough for me to go. *sigh*
But I told them all to have fun for me. ^^ And I'll probably have fun with the kids. Although there was stuff to do and people to see at the dance.. xD.. it's alright. I feel as though I'm being selfish.. I don't know. But at the moment I'm educating Zahra about who Gackt is, so I've got to get back to that. ^__~ Ja! |

-prod- 'Ello. So I found out about the election Monday, second period, while sitting in the changing stall in PE.. I didn't win. But I actually didn't feel too badly about it after the initial O_O feeling. xD Judging from the results of all the other positions, it seems like it was taken more or less as a popularity contest. That's what a few people I've talked to since then have been saying, and I figure it's more or less true. But the girl who beat me is someone that I know from a few years ago, and I know she'll do well.. so maybe the prom won't be totally horrible from lack of money and fundraising skill after all. xP But I put that behind me.. it was good experience for me I suppose. I was a little disappointed, but I was all mentally prepared and what not for a loss or a win, so I'm fine with it. ^^ Thanks for the support though! <33
Hrm.. so, what else has been going on? Well, Monday I went to the anime club with Diana.. basically we just watched an early episode of Trigun and then left. xD Maybe I'll go back next Monday, everyone seemed nice. ^^ And Tuesday.. nothing notable.. same for Wednesday.. anyway. I'm missing two assignments from art class that I had planned to do over the weekend.. but luckily the teacher likes me since honest to god I'm the only person in the class who consistently pays attention xD so he just said "Well, get it to me when you can. ^^" So I suppose that will take up part of my weekend..
And I received a 40 for my socratic seminar grade in English for Lord of the Flies. >_< But my teacher was so nice about it; she suggested things for the next socratic seminar (like to be more assertive..o_o;;))and told me not to be upset, and assured me that there were plenty of grades left in the term to make up for it.. all this before she even gave me the paper so I figured it must have been bad. xD And then she went over and was all mad at the girl who had interrupted me.. I don't know if that was good or bad. ^^;;
But.. I think now I'll go watch "The Cape of Storms" PV.. that which I have developed a minor obsession with.. xDD;;; Got it from your mp3 rotation, Shiz <3333 xD It's like.. hypnotic. So beautiful!! ;_; <3 Then I'll do my homework.. |

Felt pretty good yesterday when I woke up. ^^ As for the whole election thing, a lot of people came up to me during the day and said things like "I'm gonna vote for you!" or "I just voted for ya" so I guess there's hope. We won't know the results until Monday; probably second period when they do the day's announcements. >__<;; But yeah.. just wanted to put that out there. I sounded like a moping, self-pitying..person, I guess..in the last entry.
This weekend I'm gonna have lots of fun.. that's it. Started last night when I went to a local coffeehouse with two of my friends and I had a great time. ^^ Diana and I exchanged phone numbers and we might see a movie or something, or maybe I'll go to the mall today. *desperately needs to* And then tomorrow I'm going with the team from school to a breast cancer walk.. should be home before 1 in the afternoon to go to my nana's birthday.
And of course there's all the homework in between.. o.o;; ^^
